I’m off to a running start on a quilt series that I have been thinking of, dreaming about, and planning for months now. Even longer really, since I have been collecting the antique photos of children on which the series will be based, for years.
These faces have stories in them. They are babies and children po(i)sed with their futures ahead of them, who now, as I work to create fabric portraits, have those lifetimes behind them. The space in between is a ripe field for imagination… that very place where creativity lives and breathes 🙂
